Somewhere in Khabarovsk, Russia, there lives a passionate felted wool artist that makes the cutest woodland animals that seem like they came out of a Disney movie. Her name is Yulia Derevschikova, and she’s been doing this since 2015. Over the years, she has created over a hundred of these adorable little critters, and it doesn’t seem like she’s going to end any time soon.

The artist uses a felted wool technique, which is not to be confused with wool felt that is a totally-different-yet-very-similar technique. To put it briefly, the first one involves threading and weaving, while the latter doesn’t. The felted wool technique adds extra puffiness to the wool, and it translates into a soft and fluffy texture, which fits so well when making these cute little fluffballs. The artist has a knack for creating forest creatures, as well as more exotic types, out of this felted wool.
